SOS Max released

Maybe I was born under a rock or sum'in, but I ain't heard of SOS Max before today. And boy do I have a smile on my face. How did I ever survive without it? FlashTracer is cool but I don't always want to run the browser to view my traces. It's an additional step I deem unnecessary at times. But to have an ever almighty little taskbar application running faster than the Duracel bunny at your finger tips... Phew! Now that is what I call "game".
For a long time I have been looking for a tracer program that will be ever present. I even tried to write my own Apollo app, yes I said Apollo. Back in the day when AIR used to be Apollo I created a flash tracer application that couldn't minimise to the taskbar which annoyed me so much I uninstalled my own program.

Luckily the intelligent folks at Powerflasher decided it was time to make a debugger one size fits all. So if you use the Flash IDE or Flex Builder, you will get traces.

Features

All the features can be found on the official site but here is a quick shortlist:

  • It's fast, really fast
  • Customizable log messages
  • Powerful search functionality
  • Platform independent
I think this will revolutionise how we debug our Flash websites but still hope that Powerflasher improves the debug functionality for FDT. It is only once you work with Eclipse and Java that you realise this.

Good Job!
