Andre Michelle is making some noise. After playing with PopForge, I have nothing but total amazement of what this guy does, there is no reason not to support him in his quest to get Adobe to fix some serious Sound API problems.
More specifically Andre wants Adobe to fix the instability of the new SOUND_COMPLETE handler. You can read his post about the history of this handler and how it deteriorated over time. Fortunately I think Adobe will flap their ears. They have to. The possibilities are endless if the Sound API improves.
The combination of ByteArray and a decent sound API will be unbeatable. Sure, there are loads of samplers and sequencers online. Some built in Flash, others built with Java and some even fake most of it. But wouldn't it be cool to be able to upload your own music and mess with it, in a what we like best, a powerful Flash interface. This is exactly where Andre was heading with his replica of a Roland TR-909. Incredible stuff.
So support the movement, blog this till death do us part. We need this. Promise.
